Ketamine & Esketamine Treatment
For some adults with treatment-resistant depression, ketamine or esketamine may be considered when standard treatments have not provided adequate relief. Dr. Patrick provides individualized evaluation to determine whether one of these treatment approaches may be appropriate. Esketamine (SPRAVATO®) is an FDA-approved nasal treatment for treatment-resistant depression and is administered under medical supervision. Ketamine is not FDA-approved for the treatment of depression or any other psychiatric disorder. When used for depression, ketamine is prescribed off-label and considered on an individual basis.
